Azita Ghanizada

Azita A. Ghanizada (born in Afghanistan) is an Afghan American Actress in the United States. She has appeared in many television series. Born in Kabul Afghanistan her family fled her home country for the US and was granted refugee status to remain. Ghanizada is the middle sibling of two sisters, and was brought up within Northern Virginia. Ghanizada began her career on television by being featured in National Commercials. Ghanizada starred as Chiara in Laura Neri's film A Kiss on the Nose (2003). In recognition of her performance, she won in the festival's Cannes Film Festival, for Best Actress. Television guest-starring roles are How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars the Wedding Bells NuMB3RS bones Psych and Castle. She most recently had a supporting role in the action science fiction film Blood Shot (2009) and the comedies that are independent You Only Better (2009). In 2008 Ghanizada became part of the cast for The General Hospital prime-time spin-off General Hospital. Season 2 of Night Shift saw Ghanizada portray the role of Dr. Saira Bhatra, a doctor who specializes in holistic medical practices. Ghanizada played Kelly who was the Prada Sales Girl on HBO Entourage during 2009, and was also part of the pilot television Tough Trade by Weeds creator Jenji Kohn, and executive producer T Bone Burnett.
